Q: YBNL History & Founder? 

YBNL Nation was founded by Olamide Adedeji popularly known by his first name Olamide.

After his first album Olamide went ahead to create his own record label,he eventually released his second album under his record label.

YBNL means "Yahoo Boy No Laptop", which was gotten from one of the songs Olamide released back in 2011.
The record label has helped to establish some top artists in he industry that has moved on to establish their own record labels,artists such as Adekunle Gold who now floats his own record label called Adekunle Gold 99 Elements,and Lil Kesh's record label called 'YAGI'.

1. Olamide Adedeji

Olamide Adedeji is the founder of YBNL,he was born 15 March 1989.
Olamide is a seasoned indigenous hiphop rapper and one of the most popular artists in Nigeria.

He has been nominated for several awards,his music videos are streamed by millions on YouTube.


2. DJ Enimoney

A lot of people do not know that DJ Enimoney is Olamide’s younger brother.

DJ Enimoney is an experienced DJ and also the official DJ of YBNL Nation. According to him,he started disk jockeying way

 back when he was still in Secondary school,during that period he was called DJ Electrik.

Growing up in Bariga wasn't easy as they had to make ends meet,currently he goes by the name DJ EniMoney,a name that was coined from his native Yoruba name Eniola by his older brother Olamide. Currently the Dj has been releasing singles with some of the top street music artists in Nigeria.
According to the DJ,he regards YBNL as family.

3. Temmie Ovwasa

Temmie Ovwasa is the only lady signed to YBNL Nation,she was born in 1996 and hails from Imo State.

Temmie Ovwasa is a gifted singer, songwriter, guitarist, drum player and keyboard player,she attended Ladoke Akintola University, according to her,she wrote her first song when she was 8 years old.

4. Davolee

Shokoya Oluwasegunfunmi David who goes by the Davolee is one of the members of YBNL.

He is a song writer and rapper. 

According to the Isolo born rapper,the level of unemployment and hardship in the country made him to forfeit his tertiary education as he once sold pure water in the street of Mushin, Lagos in other to survive. 

He is popularly known for his viral cover of "Panda" by  American artiste named Desiigner.

5. Lyta

Lyta is one of the new artists signed by Olamide. According to the young artiste,luck shined on him after Olamide was impressed by his musical skills at a music event,afterwards he was invited by Olamide and the rest became history. 

Lyta, who claims to be 16 years old, is from Kwara state and was born in Ajegunle area of Lagos state.

He also revealed that he ventured into music when he was 13 and ever since then he has been in the music game.
He was signed into YBNL Nation on February, 2018.

6. Limerick

Limerick is one of the new artists signed by Olamide into YBNL in February 2018.

His real name is Fortune Ibrahim,he was born in Ikeja Lagos but he hails from Edo state.

According to Limerick,he met Olamide via Instagram after he posted a song on Instagram which Olamide saw and was impressed,afterwards he received a direct message from Olamide.

Currently Limerick attends National Open University of Nigeria.

7. Yomi Blaze,

YBNL Boss Olamide has signed rapper Yomi Blaze, less than 24 hours after Picazo joined his record outfit.

Olamide announced this development on his Instagram page on 15 of October when he welcomed Yomi Blaze to YBNL.

Although more reasons for signing these artistes other than their talent were not stated, but there are insinuations that this is a rescuing effort considering the recent issue the rapper raised about record labels that are enslaving artistes signed under them.

Commenting on the newly signed artiste, Adekunle Gold testified to how talented he is.

8. Picazo rhap

Nowadays, social media plays a major role in defining our lives as individuals. For some, it is a movement, a platform to express themselves, while for others it means much more and young rapper, Picazo is playing the game right.

When Chinko Ekun recorded the song 'Able God' featuring Lil Kesh and Zlatan, little did he know that outside creating a street anthem, he was also about to help discover a star in the making.

Making the beat available online for rappers to drop verses to led to a barrage of freestyles and covers, but of the multitude, that of the young rapper Picazo caught the attention of many.

His short video with his friends hyping him as he delivered an effortless, energetic, punchy and confident verse got social media talking with everyone asking the ultimate question, ''Who is he?''

 And like anything viral, the word of mouth began to spread from a few to plenty, attracting interest from some music bigwigs and label executives who were in awe of his talent.

His popularity had grown strongly in a very short while, his followers tripled within days and barely a week since the video went viral, the rapper has now pitched a tent with indigenous rapper Olamide's YBNL label.

Cursorily, this looks like a perfect fit as Picazo reminds you of the younger version of Olamide who burst onto the scene with 'Eni Duro'.

Olamide took to his Instagram page to announce the deal with an image of the artist with the caption ''signed''.

While the young rapper also posted an image that had the words, ''Industry ti gbalejo'' (The industry welcomes a visitor).

It will be exciting to see how well Picazo's career develops under Olamide's mentorship seeing the role he has played in the success of artists like Adekunle Gold and Lil Kesh, with others like Davolee still signed to the label.
